Street garage / workshop

Establish the empty shell, then design the workshop inside it.

Garage layout

Concept only. Brown outline: existing cadastral footprint. Green: proposed equipment. Dashed interior/door/vehicle indications: assumed placement, not surveyed clearances. Ceiling conflict remains open; no construction dimensions are emitted.

Interior survey pending. The reported right wall is 5950 mm. The drawing retains the cadastral outline; it does not force that report to fit an assumed interior. The 30 mm ceiling discrepancy is immaterial for this layout.

Garage door is up-and-over (owner, 2026-09-22). Its travel, open position and hardware clearances remain unmeasured. Side-door location, width and swing are provisional.

Still to design

  • Mobile bench now has a component construction study: nominal 1800 × 900 × 800 with revised inside-leg geometry. See the bench page for the lower-frame correction.
  • Fixed bench drawn 600 mm deep; actual depth and local mitre projection await machine choice.
  • Future table saw drawn as a 700 × 700 placeholder on its own mobile base; docks to mobile bench in work mode.
  • Dexter bay suggested under the fixed bench. Large extraction, router-table and drill-press provision remain unselected.
  • Cabinet modules, cleat spacing, bench shelf/supports, dog holes and timber cut lists are not settled.

What unlocks the next step

a-37 · Street garage internal footprint and workshop registration

Cadastral exterior retained. View uses four principal corners and a 300 mm inward offset based only on measured west wall; all other thicknesses, corners and offsets assumed. 5950 mm reported right wall is not forced to close against the cadastral edge.

Measure each internal wall, diagonals, side-door reveals and threshold; locate right wall endpoints against exterior. Confirm stairwell separation.

a-38 · Garage equipment, doors and parking clearance

1800 × 900 mobile bench remains nominal proposal. View-only fixed depth 600 mm and saw 700 × 700 block; vehicle zone is symbolic, not a fitted car. Door swing/tracks, board working space and extraction envelope unknown. Owner confirms up-and-over garage door on 2026-09-22 in task 01a0c8f7-7301-75a3-9a9f-48422c7147f0. Travel and open-door envelope remain unknown; this need not stop concept layout.

Confirm car including doors/mirrors, bench envelope, saw models and travel, Dexter size/hoses, board access, garage door movement and side-door swing.

a-39 · Garage workshop construction detail

Owner 2026-09-22 in task 01a0c8f7-7301-75a3-9a9f-48422c7147f0 accepts the 30 mm ceiling difference as immaterial for layout. Retain 2300 mm for the initial shell; this disagreement does not block layout. The accepted working datum is now 800 mm (owner 2026-10-06, evidence:ev-141#r01), superseding the earlier 863 mm design target. Bench joinery, shelves, caster hardware, machine platform and service detailing remain unresolved.

Agree bench construction, shelf arrangement and actual caster hardware; establish selected saw bed height and wall fixing substrates when those details are designed.
